Spa Body Treatments

The Spa Body Treatments consist of dry skin body brushing, exfoliation, warm towels and a Rhassoul mud mask.

Dry skin body brushing helps to remove dead skin cells and ingrown hairs, boosts circulation and stimulates the lymphatic system, helping you body to detoxify.  It can improve the skin's appearance, clearing clogged pores and allowing the skin to breathe. It can help to soften hard fat deposits below the skin, distributing them more evenly which in turn can reduce the appearance of cellulite. 

Exfoliation removes dead skin cells, promoting cell renewal helping your skin to glow. It stimulates the skin to produce natural oils and is great for dry skin conditions.

Warm towels are used to promote relaxation and to open up the pores.

Rhassoul mud/clay is rich in minerals and formed under the Atlas Mountains in Morocco.  It has the ability to absorb impurities and excess oil from the skin whilst the minerals in the mud contribute to the health of the skin, boosting collagen production, preventing DNA damage and keeping the skin cells hydrated and moisturised.  It is suitable for all skin types and particularly useful with acne-prone skin.

Aftercare
  • Drink plenty of water to help your system flush out the toxins and waste.

  • Avoid alcohol and caffeinated drinks as these make your treatment less effective and can cause you to feel nauseous, lethargic and give you headaches.

  • Rest and avoid strenuous activity to allow your body to continue to balance itself after the treatment.

  • Eat a light diet to enable the bloody supply to concentrate on feeding the areas that have been treated and to eliminate the toxins from your body.

You may experience some mild reactions stated below following the treatments. These are nothing to worry about, and are all part of the natural healing process. These should not last for more than a day or so, after which you will more than likely feel calmer and better in yourself.  If you are at all worried please feel free to contact me for further advice.
