Swedish Massage

Classic Swedish Massage, so called because of the techniques developed by Swede Per Henrik Ling (1776-1839), uses a variety of movements from gentle stroking to invigorating friction.

Target Area Massage

Using Swedish, Deep Tissue and Neuro-muscular techniques, this treatment is targeted at areas that are causing pain and discomfort in order to relieve tension in the muscles. Deep tissue uses slow and deep strokes with more direct pressure or friction over the affected area.  Neuro-muscular work is where constant pressure is applied to trigger points within the muscle or fascia in order to stretch and release tension in that area.  Through working with the client and using breathing techniques, the treatment should not be uncomfortable.

Indian Head Massage

Wonderfully relaxing, Indian head massage is based on the Ayurvedic system of healing, which has been practiced in India for over 1,000 years. The back, shoulders, neck, arms, face and scalp are massaged to relieve tension in the muscles; it can be relaxing, stimulating and invigorating.
